A Year of Grief, Growth, and Grace
Have you ever paused and looked back over the past year of your life?
Not just the highlights.
Not just the hard moments.
But the whole journey.
This week on the Living in the Faith Frequency podcast, LoriAnn and I had a conversation that felt especially meaningful to me.
At the time of recording, it had been one year since my husband Jon passed.
One year since life changed in a way I never expected.
Leading up to that date, I found myself reflecting. Slowing down. Feeling more emotions than I anticipated. Looking back at the journey and asking myself a simple question.
“How did I move through this year?”
What surprised me the most was realizing how much life had still unfolded while I took some time away from my business.
Two trips to Europe.
Publishing my book.
Publishing Jon’s book.
Time with family and friends.
New experiences.
New relationships.
And also moments of grief, reflection, and deep gratitude for the seventeen years we shared together.
In this episode, LoriAnn and I talk about what it looks like to honor loss while still choosing to live fully. We talk about what happens when you give yourself space to decompress and how reflection can help you see your life in a completely different way.
Because sometimes our mind wants to focus on what we have not done.
But when we pause and look honestly at our lives, we often realize something powerful.
We have done more than we think.
We are stronger than we give ourselves credit for.
And we are rarely walking through life alone.
This episode is really about that.
Reflection.
Trust.
Human connection.
And learning how to come back to appreciation for where you are today.
So if you are in a season of reflection, transition, or simply wanting to feel more connected to your life and the people around you, I think this conversation will resonate with you.
